Modules

Everything important in one administration

Eight modules are included in the base version. You can add another five later, when you need them. Each module has examples, a description and a price.

Add-on modules

paid extra

They are not part of the base version. You order them when you have something to fill them with; the site is not rewritten for it, it just gains another section. The price is on each module's own subpage, and the full price list is on one page.

Themes

The design is separate from the system

The design and the system are separate. You can start with one of the ready-made themes and adjust the colours, type and layout to match your style. If you want a custom design, I can create one.

A theme controls the design, not what the site can do. Modules work with any theme, and you can change the design later without losing content or data. Each theme comes in several colour variants. I price a custom design based on scope.

Integrations and custom work

It connects to what you already use

Some integrations are already built into the system and only need setting up. If something is missing, I add it. I tell you in advance what the system already supports and what needs custom work.

Ready: switch on and set up

Just enter the credentials in the administration. No programming or extra module is needed.

  • GoPay
  • ComGate
  • PayU
  • PayPal
  • QR payment on the invoice
  • Product feeds for price comparison sites
  • Sign-in with Google and Facebook
  • Google Maps with address lookup
  • Product import from XML, CSV and JSON
  • Your own SMTP for outgoing mail

Custom: I write it

I can add an accounting system, another payment gateway or data exchange with a supplier for the system you use. You pay for the integration work, not another licence.

  • Accounting or ERP integration
  • Another payment gateway
  • Handing parcels over to a carrier
  • Data exchange with a supplier
  • REST API described in OpenAPI

Guide prices for this work are in the service rates.

You set the form fields yourself

An advert, company profile or product is not limited to fixed fields. You set the parameters to suit your business. A used-car marketplace can therefore use different fields from a second-hand book marketplace, without needing a developer.

Shipping, plainly. Shipping prices, zones and your own pickup points are set in the administration and the customer picks one at checkout. Handing parcels over to Packeta, PPL or the post office automatically is not something the system does yet, so you book collection the way you do today. If you need it, I will build it.
Administration

An administration for everyday work

The administration is a working tool. It is designed for handling orders, editing content and managing the site quickly every day.

  • Tables that remember your settings Filters, sorting and hidden columns stay as you left them. Bulk actions over a selection, export, drag-and-drop ordering.
  • Forms without mistyped IDs Instead of dropdowns with thousands of entries there is a search field that finds the record by name. Errors appear next to the field, not in a banner at the top.
  • Translations are part of the form You fill them in right next to the field, not on a separate screen. A missing translation is visible at a glance.
  • On a phone, tables turn into cards Not a shrunken table with a horizontal scrollbar, but a different layout for a small screen. You can process an order from your phone.
The difference

The modules work together without extra integration

CoolCMS is one system. An order can therefore move through the e-shop, warehouse, invoicing and payments without extra integration or add-ons.

One order, every module

A customer places an order. The warehouse reserves the goods, invoicing issues the document and the payment gateway matches the incoming payment. Everything happens in one system.

An update does not break what works

I update the system as a whole, not one module at a time. This avoids situations where two versions of add-ons stop working together. I test each update on a copy of your site before I deploy it.

An invoice is an imprint, not a view

Once issued, an invoice stores the addresses, bank details and numbering and no longer changes when those details are edited later. Both the law and common sense require it.

The CoolCMS manual

Every module has a step-by-step guide showing where things are, what each setting does and in which order to use it.

  • 36 chapters for visitors
  • 103 for administrators
  • 21 on the API
  • 95 for developers and theme coders

The manual works offline too. Download it, open index.html and the search works as well.

Running it, and the guarantees

You are not left alone with it

With a one-person supplier, it is reasonable to ask what happens if that person is unavailable. The important parts are therefore set up so you are not technically dependent on me.

  • A stated response time, not “as soon as I can” With a care plan, the service table says when I reply on a working day and what happens while I am on holiday. I never promised one hour, around the clock — one person breaks that promise sooner or later.
  • You get full access to the source code The system runs in PHP on your server, so you necessarily have the complete code. The licence does not make it your property — copyright stays with me — but it explicitly lets you read it, change it and have anyone else change it to run your website, and it holds indefinitely whether or not we keep working together. Everything else is yours outright: the design, the copy, the custom features and the data in the database. Where the limits are.
  • Any PHP developer can take it over It runs on PHP, Nette and MySQL, not on a private language one person knows. Ninety-five chapters of the manual are written for developers and theme coders, so taking over is not archaeology.
Pricing

You pay once, not every month

You buy the system once; it is not a rental. The three packages are there for orientation. I work out the exact price from what the site needs to do. Every module is listed on the full price list.

Ask about a system

Prices are a straight sum of the line items in the full price list, nothing extra. A custom-designed look, data migration from an old site and integrations with third-party systems are quoted separately at the hourly rate of €40. Running it: hosting, backups and updates are on me too — either on my server or on yours. The design, the content and the data are yours and you can have them at any time. The system is licensed (licence terms): you have the complete code and may work on it, but the copyright to it stays with me. I do not keep you with a contract, I keep you by it working.

How we work together

How a new website gets built

From the first look at the system to going live. You pay for no step blindly — you know the price and the date after the second one.

  1. A look and a conversation

We go through the administration together and talk about what the site has to do. I ask before I offer. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

  2. Specification and quote

We pick the modules, the form setup and the scope of the design work. You get a fixed price and a date, not an estimate that changes three times along the way.

  3. Data migration and training

I move the content, products and customers over from your current site, set up the templates and walk your team through where everything is. The manual stays at hand.

  4. Going live and looking after it

Launch, redirects from the old addresses and monitoring. After that only what you order — a care plan, or changes by the hour.

Who is behind it

You call the author of the system directly

I develop, maintain and run CoolCMS myself. When you need something, you deal directly with me.

My name is Lukáš Oreška. I have been developing websites and applications since 2011, and CoolCMS is the third generation of my own system. I know the whole system, and when a problem comes up, I deal with it myself.

I do not try to build as many websites as possible for the lowest price. What matters more to me is that a site still works years later and can be extended without starting again from scratch.

FAQ

What people ask most

What if I stop working with you in a few years?
The site keeps running and does not disappear. The licence on the system is indefinite and does not depend on us working together, see the licence terms. The design, the copy and the data in the database are yours outright and you can export them at any time. You have the complete source code of the system, because the site would not run without it; the licence does not make it your property, but it does let you and your new developer work on it to run your website. The system is built on PHP, Nette and MySQL, so any other developer can sit down to it. Backups and test copies on a non-public address are free and unlimited. What is forbidden is distributing the system, selling it, giving it away, building your own product on it or running other people's websites on it; a second website of your own needs a second licence.
Can I start small and add the e-shop later?
That is exactly what the modules are for. Start with content and a blog; we switch on the e-shop, warehouse or classifieds when you need them. The site is not rewritten for it — it just gains another section.
Will it handle a larger e-shop, or only small sites?
Search and filtering can run on Elasticsearch. On large catalogues I switch it on, so the number of items does not matter. The warehouse calculates reservations and availability continuously, not in batches. Where the limits are, I say in advance. I would rather turn a job down than promise what the system cannot do.
Do you build sites in other languages?
Yes. The system is multilingual from the ground up — interface and content alike. It is translated into Czech, English and Slovak, and another language can be added. Each language has its own URLs, currency and VAT rates.
How long does it take?
A presentation three to four weeks, a portal six to ten, a turnkey system from three months depending on scope. I confirm the date only after we have gone through what the site has to do — anything earlier would be fortune telling.
How fast do you respond when something breaks?
It depends what you have ordered. Without a care plan I deal with faults in the order they arrive, usually the same or the next working day. With a care plan the response time from the service table applies, and on the Extended plan there is cover while I am away. You will not find a promise of a one-hour response around the clock anywhere — I would break it once and it would cost more trust than it ever earned.
What does it run on? Is ordinary shared hosting enough?
The system is built on PHP 8.4 and Nette 4, with MySQL for the data. On larger projects I add Redis for fast loading and Elasticsearch for search. Those will not run on shared hosting and need a virtual server of their own. I will either set one up and look after it, or deploy the system on yours if you already have one. Running on my server set up for CoolCMS is in the services price list from €20 per month.
