The difference
What matters in this module
- Three numbers people confuseIn stock is what physically sits on the shelf. Reserved is promised to orders. Available is the difference — and only that is what a customer sees.
- A reservation is not an issueGoods leave availability the moment an order is placed, but leave the warehouse only on dispatch. In between, the order can be cancelled and the reservation returns.
- A document is never rewrittenAn issued receipt or dispatch note is not edited. A correction is a new document — otherwise the movement history would drift from the actual state.
