What a CoolCMS website costs

You buy the system once, as a piece of work (licence terms). Every module's price includes install on my or your server, setup and training. You pay monthly only if you order site care or hosting on my server — both are optional, see services.

What is included

Licence for the eight base-version modules for one website on one domain. Server install, setup and training are included in the price.

Extension modules

Licensed separately and can be installed into a running site — the system is not rebuilt because of it. "Add to a running site" is the module's full price, server install, setup and training included. "New site with the module" shows the price when you choose it right at build time (Base + module).

How the site looks

Look & theme

A ready-made theme is included in the base price — several themes to choose from, each with several colour variants, see theme examples. A custom-designed look is quoted by scope at the hourly rate: a one-page site runs €400–600, a company website or e-shop runs into the low thousands depending on the number of screens. Logo separate, by brief.

Running on my server

Running the site on my server is an optional monthly service. I can also deploy it to your own hosting. Prices and what is included are on the services page.

Prices are a straight sum of the line items above, nothing extra. A custom-designed look, data migration from an old site and integrations with third-party systems are quoted separately at the hourly rate of €40.

When it is not a module

Hourly work

I bill changes beyond deployment and work that cannot be priced accurately in advance by the hour. Retainers, audits and integrations are listed in the services on offer.

FAQ

What people ask most often

Why a licence and not code ownership?
You get full access to the source code. The system runs in PHP on your server, so you necessarily have the complete code. The licence does not make it your property — copyright stays with me — but it explicitly lets you read it, change it and have anyone else change it to run your website, and it holds indefinitely whether or not we keep working together. Everything else is yours outright: the design, the copy and the data in the database.
What if I add a module later?
It gets installed into the running site for the "add to a running site" price listed in the table above — that is the module's full price, install included. The site is not rebuilt from scratch, it just gains another section.
How much does a second website cost?
A second licence. Under article 2.5 of the licence terms, running another website, even for the same party, requires another licence, and its price is agreed separately — see the licence terms.
